Getting to Know Kathryn
Q: What are three things you cannot do without?
KM: VROU, Apples, Frozen Yogurt!
Q: Favorite Quote?
KM: ‘Luck doesn’t just happen, luck is created by putting yourself in the best position to succeed.’ It’s more of a saying, but it’s been my life motto.
Q: First thing you do in the morning is…
KM: Check emails, drink VROU, make coffee.
Q: Last thing you do before going to bed…
KM: Double check the schedule for the day ahead; my mind never stops.
Q: What person would you like to swap lives with for a day?
KM: Sara Blakely of Spanx – a dynamic entrepreneur paved her own way to pioneer a new category by finding a solution to personal pain-point. I would love to observe and learn how she has so effectively managed and grown her business to an international-scale.
Q: Best piece of health advice given to you?
KM: Moderation in moderation.
Q: Favorite VROU flavor?
KM: I love each flavor at different times of the day, but if I have to choose… Pineapple Mint is my go-to!
Q: Why VROU?
KM: I want to transform and simplify the way people get nutrients while impacting the future generations of young girls. Most Americans don’t get nearly the amount of nutrients they need, and until they do, they’ll never how good they could possibly feel. Over the years, I have come to realize the tremendous impact sports and nutrition have had on my overall health – and I want to be able to share these experiences and ignite change in others. Each of our products reflects this mission, and stands as our tangible message to Unleash Your Wellness.
About Kathryn:
Kathryn Moos (Wayzata, MN) - Former professional soccer player and Ivy League standout, Kathryn Moos, launched VROU in 2013. Kathryn, a 2007 graduate of Brown University double majored in Community Health and Sociology while also establishing herself as an All-American soccer player and a star on the ice-hockey team. After a storied college career, Kathryn played professionally in Europe where fitness and nutrition were a way of life.
After retiring, Kathryn transitioned to a finance job in New York City working for CBRE Global Investors. Over the course of several years, Kathryn realized as an ‘everyday woman’ she did not have the same access to nutrition as she did as a competitive athlete…so, as done throughout her athletic career, Kathryn took this challenge head on. She left her job and spent two years creating VROU, a health and wellness company transforming the way the ‘everyday person’ gets essential nutrients.
